Flood or Fire Damaged Photos?

  • Do you have pictures that were damaged in a flood or some other weather related incident? Limelight’s technicians specialize in the repair and restoration of water and various weather damaged photos using a wide variety of proprietary techniques to seperate “glued” photos.
  • Limelight evaluates each individual photo based on the severity of the damage and restore the image to the best possible quality. We are passionate about preserving the aesthetic of the original image and meticulously restore and print on similar paper to the original.
  • Even if you think your photos are damaged beyond repair, we expect to surprise you because we share your passion for lost memories. 

Next Steps 

  • Handle photos by the edges and do not force the photos apart if stuck together, which can irreparably damage the emulsion.
  • If possible, place the photos on a dry paper towel and change it ever two hours until the photo (or batch) is dry. A fan will hasten the process.
  • Email us a cellphone photo of the damaged photos (in bulk) and give us a rough estimate of the number of photos you have. We will respond with an approximate price.
  •  Let us know if there are any oversized photos in your collection.
  • To prevent further damage, we recommend safely storing the damaged pictures in small containers.
  • Ship the items via UPS or FedEx to our studio.
  • Once we receive your distressed photos, we’ll let you know what can be saved and will create a comprehensively detailed  quote for your insurance company at no charge.
  • There is no obligation to accept the quote and we will return your photos if you choose not to proceed.
